by Tom R. on I'm surprised the reviews on this hotel are so mixed, I had a fantastic experience staying there. Nice, modern room with a view. Bathroom was indeed quite small but it's not that bad. Super comfy beds. Friendly staff. 25 degrees is one of the best burger spots in town, and you really can't beat drinks by the pool at the Tropicana, although they aren't cheap at least it keeps the Hollywood Blvd tourists out. I had breakfast there as well and it was great, I definitely recommend it. Beautiful lobby and reception with tons of history, the whole experience was awesome I hope to stay there again.
by Brittanie Elkind on I just had my 23rd bday here and let me just say I had an eventful night: -The other birthday celebrant in our group got thrown out before midnight. Poor girl drank so much, she couldn't walk. -2 of my friends woke up in the hospital and found out they got their clothes stolen from a group of homeless men while they were passed out on the street while waiting for their DD, whom never showed btw. -Another friend of mine was taken in and also woke up in another hospital for walking around downtown completely naked. His clothes were in his car and he doesn't even remember what happened that night. I really want to know what he drank. -I got a $6 burger (let me tell you that shit is HEAVY) thrown at me after we left the club by the guy I'm dating because I drunkenly made out with an old friend of mine in front of him. Oops, it was the alcohol. Yes, it was an eventful, sloppy night. The good thing was that I actually did not black out, pass out, or vomit this year. Amen! -1 because we were all hot messes and I plan to take a long hiatus from the place.
