by Ms. A. on I don't know what kind of day the other reviewers had, but my night was great. Very chill atmosphere; the bartender from London kicks ass! Would come back for het hospitality alone. She did a very nice job. The area outside is kinda crazy, but as long as you stay focused ur okay.
by Danille Hillstrom on This is a tribute to the Phoenix Hotel and Miss Pearls Jam House. This was the first place I ever had a Jello Shot many many years ago. After having a several dozen shots, I woke up in a room which had mirrors on the ceiling. I almost shit in my pants, after I saw myself staring back at me. This place always brings back some youthful memories. Some favorable, and a few not so pleasant ones...all depends on who sleeping next to you. This hotel itself has truly transformed to a retro economical place to stay. Walking distance to Civic center, and close to some interesting places to hangout. Truly an interesting place in the Tenderloin.
by Kristen F. on Holy hell what an amazing venue to kick off for Fashion Week! I've been here numerous times but last night was simply awesome! Sweet Jesus I got buzzed off my drink, danced my ass off with the lovely Adrienne, dance with a green fairy and a big fluff ball of red lace.... so this is what an LSD trip feels like. I need to stop doing shots of absinth before hitting the clubs. I even dreamt about red lace last night. If only it were black it would have been sexy!! rowr! My ears are still ringing from the amazing sound system. My insides were jiggling, my drink was splashing every where but that could have been that we were a bit tipsy and hopping around on the dance floor. I think my big toe has a slight concussion this morning, along with my head. Hot people, hot guys (it's Fashion Week so we were 99% sure they were not into us THAT way) strong drinks, great music, hot bartenders, big dance floor and a nice VIP area. God damn my feet fucking hurt and I'm slightly hungover. Thank you Vanguard!
