What better to combat the sweltering summer heat than gelato...artisan gelato at that! The wait staff were very friendly. I arrived 20 minutes before my friends and the employees had no problem with me sitting in the AC before I purchased anything. The wait staff were also very pleasant while I sampled a number of flavors before making my decision: White Peach (not be confused with the regular Peach flavor) that had refreshing little chunks of peaches. I also sampled the Avocado (surprisingly nice flavor but *way* too rich and creamy, even for gelato), Thai Coconut (delicious, but a very strong - you have to love coconut!), and Banana Rum (my least favorite as it did not taste like a natural banana flavor). Though pricey ($4+ for a small cup), it is delicious. For a single person, you really don't need anything bigger than the smallest size as it is so rich.

Conceptually, it's fabulous! Seeing it in person was a shocking disappointment. The crowd was annoying and it is a lot smaller than what I have imagined. I agree with Caroline that the layout is terrible [and tacky]. We went for a private event, so I can't speak about the music, but my friend and I could not wait to leave. Greenhouse hired a great photographer for PR and I like the idea behind a "green" nightclub. They tried to do too much in a small space and failed miserably in execution.

wow, what a beautiful venue!! i got to the BDB show yesterday after the opening act went on, so it was all dark inside. in b/t the opener and BDB, the lights went on, and i was able to appreciate the ornateness of the theater in all its glory! my friend told me this bldg used to be a brothel, and i'm not surprised! the concert was great, and being in a pretty venue w/ great sound made it all the nicer.
