Instead, I got the typical SF club kind of place with mismatched, cheesy decor, too bright disco lighting, and wet floors from the sweat dripping down everyone's faces. The downstairs wasn't open so the upstairs dance floor got pretty crowded. It was supposed to be some kind of album premiere party that night, but I saw no albums and no signs of a premiere. The outdoors area is good, even for non-smokers, to get some air (albeit tobacco tainted). The ultimate no-no for this place, however, were the PLASTIC CUPS that served alcohol. No decent club, lounge, whatever should use disposable drinking vessels imo. Also, coat check was $5 which is a little steep for an establishment using plastic cups. Okay, I'm done venting about plastic cups now.
by Jermaine Brunken on Very excited that this place is right near my house - there are few opportunities to go out and grab a drink right around here. I like the decor, I liked the white sangria (although a little light on the fruit when I was there) and I love the art. A full bar would be much appreciated though...although I know how difficult and expensive that is to obtain. I'm on their mailing list now, and it seems like they have a lot of events, so clearly they're making a concerted effort to get their name out there and keep people coming in. I don't know how realistic that is, given the location, but I hope they succeed!
by Megan M. on I've done the whole shebang here with Front Page...after work drinks, lunch on the weekend, lunch during the week, midday drinks...etc. The drinks are pretty good, their sweet tea is a little weak but their food is great. Sandwiches are big, come with a side and are usually under $10. Big, big lunch spot for the locals. The service always seems a little slow or spotty though...forgetting water after the 3rd request, a little slow to get the check...etc. I wouldn't recommend stopping by for a quick lunch...maybe a long Friday one though. Nights all along this strip are also usually pretty hoppin' on the weekends. I think I'd recommend coming for drinks at night, or a long lunch on the weekend. MMMmmm BloodyMary Bar ~ I can't attest to this, but I've been told they have an amazing 'make your own' bloodymary bar on the weekends. Oh, and great outdoor patio area with a fountain, greenery, pigeons and heat in the cooler months.
