Attention! Warning! 3 stars specifically for great views in San Francisco, and being a change of pace from the rest of the Mission scene. Let's be real though. The majority of the crowd is not very real. The first time I went here there were guys here that made the cast of Jersey Shore look like model citizens. If you are trying to get with dudes like that. Have at it. I see serious wealth here. Socialites with their nose in the air gather and gossip while dudes with no game just stand around and wait to tell their future ex wife: " Uh- I makes $200 K and I'll totally buy you that Tacori ring ." I'm cool off this crowd. Cool off 1 server to 20 tables. That's ridiculous. But- again - if you roll here with 5 friends or more ( I advise a healthy buzz to distract you from the Faux Vibe happening) it's not the worst place to be.

If it wasn't on the water it wouldn't get so much credit. The crowds are ghetto so go with friends and the people are shady so go with friends. Basically, you need to go with friends or something will happen to you. Parking is not too hard but since this is a shady neighborhood park near the light and pray your car is there when you come back. The music is good and the outdoor patio is really nice. Go with friends.

I really like this place. Back in the day (when I was in high school and totally limber), I used to stand down on the floor in front of the stage and get tossed around a little bit. I'd look up at all the lamo "grown-ups" sitting upstairs and think that I was so glad that I still had my youth. I've now become one of those lamo "grown-ups" and I'm OK with that. The last time I went to Great American, I got a Stella and parked myself upstairs on the platform directly across from the stage. It was also conveniently right next to the upstairs bar. I had a seat, a perfect view, and I could still hear the music just as well. I just didn't have any grimy hands tossing me around this time. Ain't no shame.
