Wait, they serve food? My brother used to live around the corner in Western Addition, until he decided to move to the Delores Park area. What a douche. We would go to Waziema and get obliterated. I heard they had food, but why waste precious stomach space with sustenance when you can fill it with alcohol? The joint used to be a real swinging jazz club back in the day and it still has the dope wallpaper and stage to prove it. The bathroom sucks ass, but who cares. Its got the old school floor urinal so you can pee your brains out and not worry about missing the hole. Guinness, full bar and an eclectic jukebox. Plus the staff laughs at you when you are loaded and keeps 'em coming. Smoking outside is a treat too.. the neighborhood is alive. Go there for drinks and you won't be disappointed.

I went to this place for my birthday this weekend and I can say it's the worst experience I have ever had clubbing in San Francisco. One of the bouncers of this club was entirely out of the control and choked my boyfriend for no apparent reason. Not to mention that the place was small and there was only one dance floor and one bar. The word "ultra lounge" is a bit overrated and entirely unsuitable for this place. If you want to have a great time, avoid this place!!

My wife and I went here expecting a fantastic experience. We sat at the sushi bar in the back, which has a nice view of the restaurant. We were there on a Saturday night, and it was packed. The service was proficient, but a bit snooty. We only eat fish and veggie stuff (no shellfish, chicken, meat, etc.). Even with these restrictions, we decided to order the tasting menu as see what Morimoto could do for us. While the dry chilled sake lifted our spirits, we were underwhelmed with the food. Yeah it was good, but not $315 good for two people for dinner. Actually, not even $120 good. If you like sushi, sashimi, fantastic rolls, a cool atmosphere, great music, and awesome beer..... go to Raw on Sansom between 12th and 13th. If you want really adventurous food, with no food restrictions and a really fat wallet, then stay at Morimoto - just don't go for a sushi/sashimi night out. There are better places to go for your money.
