by jen h. on I had the hanger steak here and I was not impressed with the steak or the fries. The steak was dry and hard and not tasty. Fries were just okay. The description on the menu sounded good but the actual food was just okay. The restaurant itself was nice, I liked the atmosphere, service was not notable. I would say that this restaurant focuses more on appearances (good job) than on the quality of their food. Probably a good place to hang out with friends and have drinks and appetizers but not a good place to come for a good meal.

Elite LA club wannabe especially with the jackass bouncers who almost didn't let my friend in because they had a "dress code" and didn't find his jeans or jacket appropriate. then they told him that he could have a special pass for the night because he had a girl with him. Who do they think they are? Rest assured that Steph W. let the manager know about this little situation (after seeing several poorly-dressed hoodlums) and he promptly came over and apologized for their actions. + 1 star for that good sized dance floor, decent hip-hop / pop music, and ok drinks (they do have Hangar One Kaffir Lime which might be my new fav). + 2 more stars for the entertainment gained by watching several older women getting DOWN with their bad selves
by Susan G. on We did New Years eve here, and I've eaten here a few times as well...I have to say...it's not that great. I'm not a fan of SRO (starr restaurant organization) so perhaps my review is biased, but really this place looks great and....that's about it. I love the beads cascading down the walls, the candles are fantastic...but aside from the look of the place it's a pass, well for me anyway.
