by wendella a. on As the old saying goes "You can't be all things to all people". I think this is something Sugar Cafe needs to take to heart. It strains to morph into the be all and end all of venues to hit - Look - I'm a hip little wifi coffee shop, hey - I'm a girly confectionary sweets cafe - watch me now - I'm a happening night club. Mmmm. Naw, right now you're straddling too many variances and lacking focus. Your service is a bit confused and slow, your day to night transition is awkward and your music selection is uh - bad. The overall effect is fuzzy. On the plus side, yes the decor and the people who work there are pretty. The chocolate cake has chocolatey good richness. Perhaps it's time to pull it back, realign and draw a line in the sand. Lose the multiple personality disorder and find yourself. Then we'll see.
