I've been to this place 2x - 1st time was a Friday night, 2nd time was a Thrs night . I didn't write my review after the 1st time since I only stepped in there for 1/2 hour and headed over to CosmoLava. 2nd time I visited was for a http://metromix.com launch party. Atmosphere: Both times were pretty chill. Not overly crowded. Music was more of rock/alternative type. 2 floors and patio. Basement level is tiny - mostly taken up by a VIP area. Nobody was really dancing but maybe it was too early at 11pm-12am-ish People: diverse, gay/straight, little of all races. Service: nothing to complain about the 1st time BUT the 2nd time was HORRIBLE. I wasn't being rude or anything - I just asked what "type of flavored vodka's do you have?" Bartender guy with lots of tatoos rolls his eyes and points to the shelf, which of course is too far away to read anything and it's dark.... He didn't even help me when he saw I obviously was struggling to see what he was pointing towards....didn't make sense to me, so I just gave up trying to figure out what I really wanted since obviously I wasn't going to be receiving any help from him at all. I just ordered a rum and diet coke. Drinks were free that night so maybe that's why he had such a bad attitude? Not sure. Summary: I'm more of a CosmoLava person and I like to go to clubs to dance so take that into consideration when reading this review. You may like Door 44, but it just wasn't to my liking. I won't come here again unless my friends want to go.

This may be my favorite bar in Atlanta or close to it. The food is always good, and they have a great beer selection. The jukebox at the Grant Park location is one of the best!
