One of my favorite places in the city! The drinks are unique, strong, and tasty as hell! The security and bartenders are friendly. Most importantly the music is awesome!! If you're not dancing in this club then you've never learned to walk, cause the vibe of the club will make you wanna shake whatever you got. Most Saturdays no matter where I start my night out in the city I'll usually end up there somehow.. No dress code, close to nothing cover, great music and fun people. Go Check it out!

Do I look old? I was really fired up to try supperclub based on all the reviews and their sassy website. I won't be trying it again. I left feeling lame, poor and left out -- not exactly what I was hoping for with my Friday night. When we checked in we were given a table number and sent to the Rouge bar for a drink. Gorgeous bar - bitchy bartenders. We found an open space at the bar and patiently waited our turn. and waited. and waited. It's a circular bar and we were at the end near the doors into the dining room. Apparently not the place to stand. The bartenders weren't going in order based on when you arrived, they went in a circle based on their own convenience. We waited 30 minutes without grumbling and they never even looked our way. Finally, when we were the last people standing, the bartender came over and said "there's no well underneath on this side of the bar so we don't like to serve people here." And then, half-heartedly she says "I guess you didn't know that huh?" Uh. no. I like to stand at a bar looking like an ass and feeling totally ignored. It's good for my self-esteem. When we were led to our table, it was on the balcony level. Word to the wise, specifically request seating on the main floor. The upper level was only a quarter full and we were at the very end. I wondered, am I not cool enough to be seen in the main room? I made a reservation. Showed up on time. Wore high heels. And now I'm in the nosebleed seats? A big part of the fun of supperclub is the social interaction with the other tables. We were basically in no man's land. Last to be served. The performers barely looked our way. And drinks were coming very slow. The food was ok, but I'm confused. The website says five courses but all the sample menus shown feature four. Does the drink I didn't get at the Rouge bar count as #5? For $120/person (dinner + 3 drinks), I thought it was a little skimpy, especially the lame fruit cup dessert. On the plus side, you can get a 15 minute massage for $20 and the masseuse was lovely. That and a fantastic performance by one of the artists (hard to describe, projection on the back of his bald head and bare back - amazing) were the only highlights of the evening.

Johnny Brenda's is OK by me. Been there a few times since they opened the upstairs. Best thing I can say about them is that I fell asleep at the bar...I wasn't drunk (had maybe two beers), just had been going for pretty much 36 hours straight and had promised to see a friend's band there...and they didn't kick me out. So I looked around and said, "well if they didn't kick me out yet I'm going to go back to sleep". They still didn't kick me out. Since the stage is set away from the bar my friends didn't know I had basically slept through their set. So that makes me like the layout that much more. Thanks JB's!
