by Jon L. on This is for the club event on 4/17/10. Everything went smoothly up until getting to the doorman, who wouldn't let my friend in with a nice fitted black crew neck shirt. When asked why the doorman simply said, "I don't make the rules." Okay seriously, offer some sort of reasonable explanation as to why or else you just look dumb. We would be more than happy to comply if some sort of explanation is given. The doorman also doesn't offer problem solving advice, he could have asked, do you have another shirt, or are you wearing a shirt underneath. I guess that's too much to be expected. My friend ended up taking off his nice black crew neck tee shirt, and wore his white wife beater into the club. Does this make any sense?! We made the guestlist at 11 PM and the rest of the night went smoothly. Drinks were $12 each. But, the initial incident really dampened the mood.
