by princess p. on This is a good place for drinks and an odd place for drinks. The room is so inviting and is dark so everyone looks ten times better then they really do. The wait staff-- a crowd pleasing bunch. Our particular waitstaff was getting a little to cozy with Jeff, but Jeff invites that type of attention. As usual I ordered a Manhattan, it was perfect with the dried cherry in it. It's a good place to hang out with friends or enemies.
by Colin M. on I'll keep this short and sweet. While the atmosphere was very attractive, this place got three strikes from me: 1. There was a hair in my food. 2. One of my cuts of steak had a green splotch. 3. The quality of food and drinks warranted about half of what was charged. It is apparent that the entire budget for this place went into appearances and very little into performance. Given the choice, I would prefer the opposite.
by Otelia Karpen on My girlfriend was worried we would need to pay a cover or wait in line, but I dragged her here on a recent Saturday night. She need not have worried because they were glad to have us. Even though the bar was very busy, bartenders poured us free drinks. A Drake hotel guest in the elevator on the way up said "You're brave to go up there" to us. He must have known we would get hit on by a lot of older gentlemen staying in the hotel, which is basically what happened. Still, our drinks were great and I can't ask for better service. Besides, my friend is single and I like talking to people from all over the world! Everyone who spoke to us was interesting and fun. I checked out the dancefloor, mainly to see the view, but the bar area was definitely cooler and a better place to meet people.
