by Dth S. on if u have young/party type of friends coming in from outta town, this place is recommendable cuz the rooms nxt to the pool are 'home-like' &good for long stays.....plus yoga in the mornings are just rite outside ur pool-side rooms if u need to calm down after too much partying. i personally don't like any of the rooms here (aside from the super luxurious suite) but outta town people don't kno&don't care.
by Steph C. on Friends birthday. Came to Medjool. $10 cover charge after 10:30 (for guys AND girls) alcohol is relatively cheap. Bar on the roof only takes cash. 2nd story bar can get very busy and cramped and that bottle service area is the only place that has inside seating. Bartenders pour strong drinks and are actually very quick and attentive. The view from the top isn't of the bay... but of the city. I guess on a clear night though, you could possibly see the bay.. Not sure, it was overcast. They need more bathrooms. More grey goose (they had none). Is this place a hostel? there are many levels that say "For hostel guess only"... Uhh ok?
by Cordelia Blakley on I came here on a Thursday night which is "jamaica night" which i knew because my friends from New York wanted to go to a reggae club....and i have never been to a reggae club so i thought i give it a shot. its "dance hall reggae" for all u reggae clubbers. ne way..... being one of the only asian person in the club besides one of my buddie, we totally were the prey... i dont think i'll ever come here again even if someone paid me #1 i dont really understand the music #2 i dont like getting grope every 10secs. #3 dont like dancing with guys with stunna shades on, they r wearing stunna shades on for a reason and its because they prolly fugly. #4 i met a 50 yr. old man with dreads almost to the floor and decides to roll up a blunt on my thighs and he was high as hell.... However, their was a stage there and they had these people dancing to reggae which i thought they danced very well, so i enjoyed the show. And they had a nice patio so therefore i give it 2 star. But other then that i think i'll pass on DragonFly Bar on thursday nights.
