by Jon B. on I had dinner last night at the Supperclub. The dessert was uncooked, the duck salad had dry day old cabbage with hard chunks of ducks. The poor lamb died in vein! Frankly, I am not sure how you can even try to make food taste that bad. Father Joe Carroll should have catered the event as a soup kitchen would taste better at a fraction of the price! Clearly they put a lot of money into it, but the food was just unacceptable! Frankly it is shameful they think they can get away with that quality of food in Los Angeles. Shameful!! That would never fly in NY or SF, why do they think they would be able to get away with it in LA? The dinner acts were cool, sound system is good, but it did get a bit too crowded for my likes, they really needed to rope off the tables. They need to fire their mixologist. Their drinks were more just bad sugar water with some alcohol. They were not very flexible on the drinks they wanted to serve. Someone in our party sent back a drink, and the staff said, "the bar tender is not going to be happy about this". WHAT? I was shocked to hear this from the staff. Needless to say, I will not be going back anytime soon. I give the place a year.
by Kathy D. on I love how nice clubs are always hidden in the shady areas of the city. I came here last month for the lady gaga concert and boy she rocked the house! This was my first experience at a smaller venue and I loved it..( but my feet did get tired from all the standing in heels and pushing and shoving from drunken lesbians that were making out with each other...) This explains the minus 1 star since I had to deal with bitchy girls giving me attitude, thinking I was trying to cut them in order to steal away their lady gaga!! calm down homies!! calm down! The venue was very spacious with high ceilings. Dark bricked walls with different color lightings to accentuate the place. The bar is in the back right side when you enter the club. Quick service and with your typical SF drink pricing. $12 for a redbull vodka. Two levels with a staircase leading to a spacious balcony lounge area. I should of went up there to get a better full view of lady gaga's performances. Either way, any view from the Mezzanine is an upclose interaction! Diverse crowd indeed. Can't wait for another exciting performer to come to SF and perform here! You'll definitely see me there again :)
by Joel Wilmont on I prefer Erritrean food, but this place is a close second. Plus, it proves that patience pays off. Waziema finally got its liquor license after years of serving only beer & wine thanks to many hood rats who signed a petition and supported their license application.
