Gay night on Wednesdays worked for us. Free before 11pm, expect to pay 7$ for draft beer. The place isn't posh or large, but it's clean enough and they have super sexy men in speedos manning the carnival booths, at least on gay night. Amanda Lepore, a celebrated NYC tranny, runs the show on Wednesday nights with the drag queens and go go boys doing various carnival stunts and acrobatics. Seems fitting for a sexy and cruisey club. The "funhouse" has some more seating and a different DJ.

Came for happy hour on a Thursday night, and the place was empty. Sat out on the front patio - service was good, though a little slow at times due to also having tables inside. Margarita was solid. I ordered the crab dumplings, but they were disappointing - soggy and SUPER salty. I also tried the lobster quesadilla, which was quite bland (the best thing about the dish was the chunky guac - yum). Prices are high, in my opinion, but then again, it IS smack in the middle of Midtown. Shout just didn't really do anything for me, that's all.

Can we say this has got to be my new spot when I come back home... AND I owe it all to rateclubs. All my friends that still live in NY are done and tired of every music/dance scene and leave me high and dry when I get to come home. SO I decided to hit up Big Brother rateclubs and it gave me all the info I needed. BOB's was on a short list of non pretentious hip hop clubs in NY and I decided to make the trek on Friday night. It was exactly what everyone on here related:small, hot, sweaty, and GREAT. Prices were pretty reasonable and the crowd was just having fun and dancing as much as the DJ and bartenders. Not gonna say that it is TRUE hip hop but if you want to go have fun and listen to some booty shaking hip hop and reggae DEFINITELY hit up Bob's. P.S. Although there are enough people to go around I found alot of people were booed up, if that was just Friday night please let me know.
