Great place to refuel when walking about the historic sites in Philadelphia. Tasty comfort food like grilled cheese, tomato soup, and sweet potato fries. Refreshing brews, lots to choose from too. French onion soup was hot, well seasoned and the cheese was bubbly. Very cool decor, church pews serve as booths and stained glass windows add ambiance. Service was friendly and attentive. This seems like a place I would frequent if I was a local.

So Scoutmob had a deal of 50% off, and we were in the mood for some Mediterranean food so we tried it out for dinner on a Sunday night. Well we walked in and the place was packed (apparently everyone had the same idea as us). They had live music which was nice but super loud, and unfortunately it was a Sunday and we just were in the mood to wind down, not get all crazy and have a party. So we get seated right away which was nice but then we had to have sat there for at least 10 minutes and not one waiter came up to us. We watched 3 look at us and walk by us but none of them must have thought we looked worth serving. So finally the hostess comes up to us and asks if we had been helped yet and we told her no, she must have said something because a minute later we had an extremely attentive waiter helping us. We ordered everything at once (I mean we had plenty of time to read through the menu, a couple of times) we got hummus which we thought was great. It was definitely not store bought because ours wasn't super smooth like store bought hummus is, it had the texture of recently being made and the warm pita was delicious. We each got small Greek salads and ours were fresh and they even brought us dressing on the side instead of drowning our salad in it for us. I got the Moussaka which was a huge heaping portion, I ended up taking 2/3 home with me because there was way too much, and my husband got the gyro with Greek potatoes. He said it was good, although I will say the plate looked a little sad because he only had like 3 potatoes on it. We both thought the food was good, our biggest complaint was the service. We asked for things a couple of times (like extra pita, drink refills, etc.) and it would take forever to get them and we saw what looked like 2 managers walking around but neither one seemed to be doing much at all. Also one of the tables had gotten the flaming cheese appetizer, I'm not joking when I say that every single employee of the restaurant went to stand and watch the waiter light it on fire and scream "Opa". I get it, its exciting but when you're tables keep complaining about not getting any services is it really necessary for every person to stand around watching cheese be lit on fire? After the meal we found out that they were short staffed that night, which is understandable of why it would be so slow, but it would have made me felt a lot better if the two who looked like managers seemed to actually be doing anything. I would go back, just not on a night I want to get home at a reasonable hour.

Quoting Carlos A....we came here for our buddy's 30th birthday bash and had a great time! The bar/dance floor is located in the basement with very red, dim light. It's nice and hip. Our birthday boy had rented a large elevated corner of the club (the "VIP area") with two ginormous wooden tables, comfy sofas and a tall tree in the middle. The hosts literally WALKED across the big tables to fill our drinks, which I thought was bizarre. Maybe they should consider getting smaller tables, because you can't really mingle with friends without tripping over the edges. Anyway, it was a night of endless drinking and dancing. Great DJ, though the music wasn't really my type. The background nature music playing in the co-ed bathrooms was pleasant, though. So yes, we had an AWESOME night with 100+ friends. Then why only TWO stars? The staff. Particularly the guy at the door who SCOFFED at me and made us feel so UNwelcome. (long story) Can you spell ARROGANT???
