I've been a fan of Majestic for a long time. My hubby took me there last weekend for my midnight b-day breakfast/lunch/dinner. I say brkfst/lunch/dinner because you can get all that on the menu. I seem to have a knack for ordering from every meal category. I was craving a steak and steak I got. It was um um good. Cooked medium well cuz blood doesn't taste too good to me. Don't see how folk eat stuff half way not cooked. To each his own I say. My husband had so much food I forgot all that he ordered but he cleaned his plate like an elementary school boy (LOL). I have always had a great experience at Majestic pre and post renovations. I say try it for yourself.

I can only comment on the bar as we had dinner down the street. Went here this past Friday. Had been introduced to the place by one of the bartenders and wanted to pay a visit. Mind you, this place has been around FOREVER. My mother used to come here with my father WAY back in the days. Apparently it hasn't changed much in terms of decor and clientele. So if you haven't eaten or hang out in Nob Hill before you might want to know that it is mostly "old money" and "older people". With that said there are also quite a few younger folks frequenting this spot but they are definitely not the same types you see in North Beach or in TenderNob. It is snooty snooty snooty up in here. But we loved it! You need to make a reservation. Even if you are just drinking. You walk up and feel like you're going to some private party. Everyone is very nice though. I have to say that as snooty as it appears, the staff were very friendly. Our server was outstanding and I wish I could remember her name since she was so nice. Cool girl from South Carolina. I couldn't tell you how much the bill was but I'm sure it was outrageous. Be prepared to spend some money. Definitely worth at least one visit. Would like to make another when it's a little be quieter and mellow and perhaps try the food.
