by Emily J. on Last night I had my third dinner at supperclub. There were a couple bumps along the way but overall, I really like it here. We parked in the lot just down the block - $10 for the entire night. They opened the doors a little after 7:00 and began checking people in. Enter bump #1, they didn't have our reservation. My honey had made it a month before, through their website and confirmed via e-mail earlier in the day. He pulled up the confirmation on his phone and the hostess checked us in no problem. They give you a post-it with your table number to give to a bartender and also a little sticker to wear to confirm your table. We walked into the hip bar area, gave the bartender our post-it and ordered drinks. Enter bump #2, our first drinks were not made well. My dirty martini tasted like olive juice. I do like some gin in my dirty martini. The bumps ended there and the rest of the evening was lovely. We were in the bar for a half hour or so and a hostess came and fetched us to escort us to our bed area. The rest of our drinks were delicious. I stuck to Bombay martinis but enjoyed stealing a sip of my honey's basil-icious sutra which was my favorite cocktail of the night. The first course was salmon sashimi. The large portion was melt-in-my-mouth delicious and the chunks of carrots soaked up the sauce. So good. Second course was a pepper soup. Also an ample portion and very tasty. Third course was a beef tenderloin over mashed potatoes and zucchini. Everything was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Fourth course, the dessert, was my least favorite but still good. A fresh pear tart a la mode. Some recommendations: - Arrive early. Ask for seats in the middle, either upstairs or downstairs near the door. Those have the best view. - Dress cute but comfortably with shoes that are easy to take on and off. You are going to be eating in a bed for goodness sake. - Be a good bed mate. Introduce yourself to your neighbors. Don't be scared to get cozy. We lucked out having cool people next to us. - Bring a camera. I appreciated that our waitress encouraged me to move around the space and take lots of photos. - Plan on being there for 3+ hours. Be patient and soak up every moment. - Leave your conservatism at the door. Relax.

by Walter Petricone on One of my favorite spots in South Beach. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but a really cool ambiance inside. Never feels very packed inside. The one negative is they let the line build up even before there is anyone is really inside. Give the doorman a few duckets and you'll be let right in. On a side note, what exactly are the doorman staring at when the blankly staring across the street not letting anyone in.
