by Jona Durnin on I've put off reviewing Trudy's for so long, I can no longer do it. I've been to Trudy's a number of times and had an OK experience. But a little bit "blah." Service: Slow, blase, and occasionally downright inattentive. Drinks: Better. I had a good time here at happy hour. I once, however, ordered a Shiner upstairs, and it came out room temp. A warm beer is a cardinal sin in the Gospel according to Jonathan. That warm beer will cool you little in hell, Trudy's. Food: Meh. I was strangely inspired after my first glance through the menu. And as it turns out, I found the menu better on paper than it was on those super hot plates they make a big deal about. I can't remember everything I've had there, but I do recall having some sort of enchiladas and the stuffed chicken avocado. The enchiladas I've long since forgotten, and the stuffed chicken avocado was a dirty greasebomb from planet Moldy Guacamole. (That didn't even make sense...) I know what some of you are thinking... (Hey, buddy - I LOVE the stuffed chicken avocado! You must be some kind of creep or something...) Well, hate me today, but when there's a run on these things, and you get the last one - you'll be thanking me for not eating it. I'll stop here, and leave room for an update, since this accurately reflects my experience at Trudy's till most recently.
by Dan D. on Ehhhh Not a bad spot, though they are understaffed and it can take 15-20 minutes to get a drink from a waitress and even longer if you wait in line. Good parking
