A+++ for Will, Jada and Jay-Z. Chronicling the last Shrine performance of Fela Kuti. Kevin Mambo (Fela) did a fabulous job. Stage set was impressive. Dancers-shook their bon bon! Great Crowd Participation. Storyline-interesting. Because of Accent, had to "LISTEN EXTRA CLOSELY." Music was wonderful. Overall terrific night at Eugene O'Neill Theatre. KERE KAY! (Also You can see the stage from practically anywhere... Something to consider before getting the high priced tickets.)

Morimoto is a place you should at least try for the experience of it. To understand the food and get an appreciation for it, you should try Masaharu Morimoto's former employer Nobu where he was once Executive Chef. You'll find the dishes are very similar, and the omakase setup is almost the same. Having dined at both on a few occasions, Morimoto has taken a spin on the dishes he once created for Nobu so you will have an unique dining experience at Morimoto. If I had to compare both restaurants head-to-head I would say Nobu edges out Morimoto by a hair, but Morimoto is still a worthwhile place to check out. I would recommend the Omakase for a taste adventure, but I should warn you that don't expect to walk out stuffed. In fact, the Omakase is only really going to give you a taste of the different dishes. You can choose either the $80, $100, or $120 option. If you go with the less expensive end you'll get more noodle and fish dishes, and if you go with the high end you'll see Wagyu (also known as Kobe Beef) and Lobster. Where I think you'll be best served to skip is the Beverage Omakase. I got that , and to be honest the price of $45 - 85 is not worth having a drink per a course. Since you will get 6 - 7 courses, you'll end up with 6 - 7 drinks, some of which are sake. So yeah, skip the Bevarage Omakase if you want to be able to walk/drive after dinner. My favorite dishes from the Omakase are the Toro Tartare (the fresh wasabi is a treat since you don't see this much anymore), rock shrimp tempura (I could eat this as a dinner alone it is that good), kumamoto oysters (we got three with different sauces from Thai Spices to Lime inspired Ceviche), scallops (literally almost melt in your mouth, and yes I LOVE scallops), lobster 'espice' (the creme fraiche is awesome and really cuts the spiciness of the lobster), and the wagyu beef (it literally melts in your mouth its that good). I added some pictures of a few of the dishes that nobody has photographed yet.

Visions are blurry but this spot was a lot of fun. Following the Elixir HH I made it here with some dope ass rateclubsers for the last Big Payback. I seem to remember a decent sound system but I'd like to see the room full. The crowd was a bit young but that tends to happen because I'm not. We closed the place down. Great staff! Apparently I had a little nap in the cab, crepe in hand. A great night out!
