There is a nice wooden counter down the middle of the club, between the VIP tables, that permits you to get up and grind with the one you love. The night I went, it was also packed packed packed with Brazilian model types. So, not the worst looking crowd. Of course, this meant they were not the friendliest crowd. Still, Im not terribly impressed with my evening spent here. There really is not dance floor, save a little space in the corner by the bar ceaselessly occupied by older eurotypes. The club is not very big and it is just crammed crammed crammed with tables. This means there is minimal intermingling amongst people not seated at the same table, so if you're looking to chat it up, this is not the place. There is always an interminable line for those not on the list, and if you're with dudes, expect to $$$$$.

And for all you nonsmokers, there's something at Antik for you too! A pungent aroma of cigarette smoke that will saturate your clothes and hair for days to come! All joking aside, the smoke problem is horrible at this place and is the main reason I gave it two stars. It completely ruins the experience. Now just to clarify, I have been to clubs where people disregard the smoking ban and sneak a few cigs. But this place is ultra tiny, with no ventilation. There are some positives though. Since the place is so small, the door tends to be selective and keep a good crowd (smokers excluded) inside. Antik also has an exclusive feel to it with the retro speakeasy design and discreet entrance. The music has a pretty good mix depending on the dj. I also usually come with a promoter so drinks are free. And some nights are good for after hours, but don't go out of your way.
