pricelined a decent deal and ended up at the Hollywood Roosevelt. i was excited to stay here just because i know celebrities are known to stay and hang out at this place haha. def a great location right in the heart of hollywood blvd and was walking distance to lots of clubs. a real perk is that the cross street to make a left into the hotel off hollywood blvd is a protected left turn so you arent waiting forever to make a left turn without an arrow haha (i think it's Orange St). lame i know but small things like that matter to me haha. upon check-in, we were upgraded to a king room instead of queen which was greatly appreciated. rooms are decent enough. nothing spectacular or anything but good enough to use just as a place to crash for the night. staff was very friendly and we had no trouble with anything during our stay. check out is at noon and we were granted a late check-out of 2pm which was also definitely appreciated haha. only gripe is parking at $30 but hey it's hollywood...what do you expect? hopefully i can priceline this place at an affordable rate in the future so i can check out the pool party and other bars in the place...

Went on Valentine's Day and surprisingly it was free cover...if you can get in. Based on the ratings, looks like if they didn't make it free cover, this club would be empty. So after about a 25 min wait, we got in. I was not impressed by the bar's decor with a blow up picture of a woman's breasts. The dance floor was big but the DJ was nothing great. Played your typical top 40, did not do any special mixes and you could tell the crowd was not feeling the music. Oh! and the goo goo dancers were the worst I've ever seen. Horrible dancers and honestly, both were a bit over weight to be goo goo dancers Got a drink at the restaurant bar. I was so irritated because when I ordered a martini, the lady bartender shook the martini, then held the shaker while she took someone else credit card, went to the register, swiped their card, waited for their receipt, gave them their receipt and waited for them to sign. In that time, she held my drink in the shaker allowing the ice to melt inside. By the time I got my martini, it was well watered down! A place to visit but to never return.
