I don't really like clubs, but went to Bootie for a girlfriend's birthday at her request and it was actually pretty cool. The crowd, the music, the cheap (for a club) drinks were all on point. I would probably come back with a big group like we had before.

i went on the roof, bought a vegetable-curry-pot-pie, went downstairs, and satisfied my munchies in a fort shaped like a pumpkin while a marching band played radiohead great

Wow so much to say about this one, I'll try to stick with a few gripes and keep it moving. #1 Gripe- They Close way way too early. In a city that constantly speaks on drawing more visitors to the city, there is no way the major mall downtown should be closing at 7:00 during the week and even 8:00 on some days. I remember speaking with someone who decided to come back to visit philly after coming here from Cali for a friends wedding a few weeks prior. Said she'd loved the city and wanted to visit where she'd have time to check out more things. But when trying to find a mall at 6:30 pm, we couldn't give her any suggestion (in the McDonald's she we were in) because the gallery would be closed by the time she'd gotten there and anything else would be close or close to it by the time she'd travel to get to them!! #2 This place is crying out for a make over-it's just depressing stepping through the doors it's dark, especially on the lowest level. It needs to be blown up and redone from the ground up. Along with ridding itself of some stores while romancing others in. #3 Rowdy kids- Ya kinda can't help that but so much however a better quality of stores draw a better quality of customers...the end:) #4 Bad store selection- The Gallery use to have a nice mix of stores however it seems now when one of the better stores close, a discount store follows it's foot steps. For example The Gap closes and gets replaced with something that has the audacity to attach boutique to it's name! Not that I even shop at The Gap much anymore but it's a much nicer presentation when I walk by that on occassion draws me in:) #5 Too many el cheapo stores- I love old navy but the low prices are bringing down the quality of the store due to ignant folks throwing clothes around. And I'm tired of flashing the city because my brain registers only five bucks but forgets very thin materials that will require layers. It gets a 2 for some of the same things someone else mentioned, Nine west, Golden Krust (Which are newer stores let me add) the pizza place across from Aldo, Aldo and a few others. I do like 5 Below I feel it's discount done well and it's so far so good in terms of upkeep. Believe me I'm not anti discount and my wallet will back me on that one LOL but it doesn't have to be tacky and an outright nasty experience. In closing, Extend hours, blow it up first and start over, and be selective about what shops can open up and it could be on it's way to being a favorite for me.
