i was here last night for Planet Rock (PST vs. Fresco). it was my first time at this particular venue. i wasn't really sure what to expect - art gallery by day, club at night? sounds kinda weird................. it's definately a different vibe that you get when you walk in, the artwork on display is cool and the super huge green abe lincoln on the back wall of one of the wings of the space was pretty cool. the disco-metallic silver cocktails they pull out for the club scene are a little cheesy and out of place, it kinda throws the whole vibe off but hey, a place to sit and a place to put your drink down is good enough i guess, i'm just being nit-picky =P. two bars in each wing make getting drinks pretty easy - reasonable prices and hey! they have guiness and hogarten on tap - what! that's a plus for me. they definately didn't skimp on the alcohol in my seabreeze either - that's for sure. all in all, it was a good outing - i might come back. i still prefer mighty.

So glad I finally got to check this place, during a nice evening's happy hour. An amazingly big patio (wasn't expecting that), more than decent $3 margaritas (yay) and everyone (both staff and fellow patrons) that were very friendly. Lots of patio heaters, lots of chairs. The patio is really great. And live music. Wow, I'm coming back. Although I didn't drive when I came here, street parking doesn't seem all that bad.
