I took a party of 18 here for a birthday party last February, based on a reservation I originally made for 8. Although I do know that some people in my party were disappointed due to cold food that came after a long wait, I have to take most of the responsibility for that. In a party of over 15 they have a set menu so that the kitchen can pace things properly - since I didn't know we had that many, the kitchen wasn't prepared, and they didn't force us to order off the pre-set menu (which I give them credit for, I was nervous about this because I hadn't told my guests it was preset), and a lot of people didn't, and well, we slammed them. Their big group room is really fabulous though, and I personally liked the food a lot, although it was a pretty long time ago. I fully intend to go back there - is it hard to get a reservation there now that Kevin's so awesome?

I came to Mood only once. At the time it was the hot spot. I honestly can't tell you if it's still going strong. When I came the line was insanely long. Even though they were letting people in, the line felt like it wasn't moving. I wasn't feeling the line to get in. I once we did get in, it was too crowded and not very fun anymore, there was no room to dance, no where to really sit. It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. The drinks were expensive, but normal for Hollywood. The line for the restroom was long and bitchy. The good part was the dance music was decent. I never returned to this place. I think with Hollywood giving you so many options, I wouldn't waste my time here again.

I want to start off by saying that I've only been here once about a week ago. My roommate called me up and said he and some people were going to check out a band playing that night so I joined them. We were directed to go downstairs and immediately taken to our booth. Our drink orders were taken as we sat down. We weren't told anything about a two drink minimum but that is never a problem with my group of friends. My friends vodka cranberry didn't look or taste much like a vodka cranberry. It was more like water with a splash of vodka and a smaller splash of cranberry, maybe. The second one that came out was very good though. For an appetizer we got the sampler platter, figuring for $16 we would get enough to feed everyone. It was pretty surprising to see how small the food items were when it came out. The biscuits were tiny and hard, not stale hard but just firmly packed. The fries were tasty and I liked the cucumber dipping sauce they brought out with the platter. What I imagine to be shrimp and corn croquets were very tasty as well. The wings were pretty spicy but didn't have a whole lot of meat on them. For an entree three of us got the seafood jambalaya each. The portion was very small but it tasted pretty good. I got the macaroni and cheese croquets thankfully to suppliment my meal. The best way to describe it is like mozarella sticks but with elbow macaroni inside as well as cheese. It was interesting and new. I would love it if most places that offered a cheese stick appetizer would get these things too. The band that night was great, and that was the primary reason for coming here. You want to come here with an appetite for blues but maybe have your meal before coming and just snack on some appetizers while enjoying some drinks.
