After a much thought out deliberation between me and my friends, we decided to come to Bubble Lounge for their dance floor. That or standing outside in the rain! So this review is only for the cave. You heard me. A cave. That's really what it is once you walk downstairs. They had a bar and a private room (don't go in, who knows what's been going on in there!). And the music sucked. Period. Good thing there was no cover!

Definitely depends on who throws the event and who is the DJ. Do your research. The couple times I went, it was packed because I knew who the event coordinators were and the place is spacious. The theme itself of having 3 different types of "atmospheres", hence the name, is a little lame. But I did have fun every single time I went! I loved the biggest dance floor room the best. The decor never really changes, but the crowd and the music does. I did happen to go there on a slow night, where they only kept the front parts opened. It was a little awkward, but the DJ (DJ Romeo) kept the music playing and I had fun dancing. The service is always nice, except those stuffy bouncers, but the rest of the people were friendly and smiley.

like Compound a lot because it offers a lot of options. In the back is a large dance floor with two bars and it is quite dark. In the middle is a much smaller dance room with a couple more bars and much lighter. Between the back and the middle dance floors there is an outdoor area with a bar and some standing and sitting space. In the front is an outdoor area with tables, chairs, a pond, and more bars of course. If you want to dance you can dance, if you want to sit around and hang out you can do that too. If you want to do both this is a good place to do it as the outside is isolated from the loud music better than many of the other clubs and much larger. The only downside is the smoking which I never like being around. There are multiple bathrooms but there can be lines. There is usually a guy in the men's bathroom who wants to help you wash your hands for a tip which always annoys me. I think I can manage to take care of myself. It did close down recently, I heard they were going to renovate it and reopen in a few months, but you never know. It was free before 11:00 or 11:30 Fridays and Saturdays if you were on the email guest list. The best part was it was about a mile from where I live.
