by Britney K. on I was here awhile back to see la plebe and i was impressed! i wont lie, i spent most of my time in line for various bathroom breaks (i drank a lot that day!) and ive gotta say, the bathrooms are very clean and they have more than 2 which is fabulous. the back patio is awesome! and not covered in dirt like some other places. next time i gotta try the bloodys!
by Beatrice Gascon on I've been a long time collector of this music genre... from Steve Reich, Brian Eno, the Orb, Joy Division and etc. through the decades to now. Followed it from San Fran to here at Circus, then off Spundae L.A. relocation to Avalon. It's all about the music and the musicians-- Felix Da House Cat, Digwood, Sasha, Saeed, Palash, Blank+Jones, Lawler, Schultz, Gab +Dresden, Carl Cox, Nick Warren, Paul Oakenfold and etc.+++ Similar to Circus, Avalon has courtyard, large dance floors and of course, what a rave club cannot do without: Avalon sound system. By comparison to Circus, Avalon is larger and offers dinning services and more. As rave clubs go, both Circus and Avalon have the courtyards, the large dance floors and the EAW Avalon series speakers w/ Avalon system drives and power amps. For those devoted fans of rave, or progressive trance, tribal drum/base electronic music, this Avalon sound system makes all the difference to our listening ears. And the dance movements distinctive of rave scenes w/ the glow sticks. The rave scenes have changed a lot over the years. More drugs (e), and less serious music and dance lovers, just more of a meet/meat clubbing scene, which is a shame in my opinion. There is a long history of this type of music and the folks who appreciate it seriously. As we age, I hope to see more sincere "love" and "respect" for this music genre shown on the dance floor, so it be more about the music and less about the drugs. God bless musc lovers, and long live the Technic SL-1200~!
by ArtLuvinChic C. on FPN is really good. I especially like the patio's at both locations--this, and the one in little five points. Among the things I look for in a relaxing enviornment are water, flora, and fauna. The patio reminds me of the one's I've been to in New Orleans, an oasis. The food is good and the drinks are delicious.
