I'm writing with extreme embarrassment to say that I've been here. I was dragged here because I knew the promoter. Never again. Brad the club manager is a douche. The bartender gave me the wrong I.D and Debit card at the end of the night. (Dumb blonde do all black people look alike?) I called the next day to inquire about my I.D and they gave me the run around. I had to file a police report and the cop said this place is a dump. He also said they have been trying to close this place down for years. This place is full of kids. I had the worst hangover the next day. A drinker knows when the bottles say Kettle but they are pouring popov. NEVER go here. EVER!!!!. If you have any self respect DON'T go here. I am still mad at myself for even setting foot in the door. I'm classy and this place isn't. They know it too. Brad, call me if you have any form of professionalism and explain what happened to my I.D.

A recent Sunday brunch at Parish topped off my weekend well. I met a large group there, and right when we were seated, large, piping mugs of coffee awaited us at the table. Three of us decided to order a trifecta of goodies and split them three ways, allowing us to sample the menu's delights. My favorite tine in the trident was the Parish Benedict: a buttery biscuit topped with garlic spinach, slow-cooked beef and poached eggs. It also came with these delicious potato chunks: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, dotted with colorful peppers. The other two parts of the trifecta also were tasty: the Open-Faced Shrimp Burger and the Brandy Milk Pain Perdu. The chef sent the table some desserts to sample: we each got a couple bites off the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding, topped with a rum caramel sauce, and the Kentucky Derby Tart--a chocolate and pecan tart topped with mint julep ice cream. I could've eaten the bread pudding all by myself, although the mint julep is one of those things you can only handle a couple bites of. To extend the morning cheer, we ordered a round of drinks. I had a Pimm's Cup: the best Pimm's Cup I've had in the city! I also want to comment on the ambiance: the exposed brick walls, ornate chandeliers and shabby chic sconces rocked my world. Parish has one of the best decorative schemes I've ever seen, compensating for the blah waitress.

Ridonkulously expensive. Too loud to hear someone sitting three inches away. My friend was the victim of an unprovoked assault and battery by a patron, and MY FRIEND was the one who got kicked out of the club. Still, the music was enjoyable and the physical aesthetics are trendy and hot. It's what one imagines a bangin' New York club to be. Also, there's plenty of late-night eats around. Always helpful.
