I had very low expectations for this place on a Thursday Night after volunteering for a Film Festival back in June 2009. The venue was for an Opening Night Red Carpet event for the IndioBravo Film Festival. Although I was on the mark that there would be a lot of foreigners/tourists, I overall had a good time. Nikki Beach have 2 floors. The 2nd floor is for clubbing and lounging if the 1st floor gets crowded. Got in no problem (a bit after 11 pm), no cover charge, the ambience was nice, the bartenders were friendly, the drinks are same price where you get at any other decent lounge/club, and the music was shockingly good. The house/techno/electronica music was good!! The music they played had good, danceable beat. I enjoyed it, it's a fun place if u just wanna go hang out with a group of friends. I wouldn't count on meeting people here though. The crowd seemed very international, not that that's bad, but depends what you are looking for. Make sure you bring tons of cash because it's expensive whether it's to go clubbing, lounging, or dinner

Wide open floor plan, interesting graffiti art on the walls, and a DJ filling the room with beats. I came here during the San Francisco Wine Week Opening Party. The room off the front entrance was filled with tons of people tasting wines from places like Roshambo ( http://www.roshambowin...) and and Ehret Family Winery. Everyone was really friendly and enjoying the new atmosphere and great samples. The space itself only serves wine and beer, but has room to dance and a great series of art pieces behind the bar to gaze at while waiting for a drink.
