by Raymundo Boast on I loved this place!! Came here on Valentine's day. My date had to get reservations prepaid tickets for us. We just came here for pre-dinner drinks. When you walk towards this place it's in an alley it didn't look like anything special. But looking at the bouncers this place is swanky. My dates says this place is strict with their dress code. No t-shirts, only collared for men and no tennis shoes. When you first walk in it's dark and irony... lol I don't know how to explain it but we walked down the stairs and wow. This place is a GEM!! It's decorated in iron works, old power plant, turban engines decor definitely the 1940s era you could dress up as a flapper and fit right in. It was amazing! We had their special Valentine's cocktails a champagne martini it was delicious! The furniture is beautiful old comfy leather style sofas and stools. They had a live Jazz band. I love Jazz!! It was a fun place to be!! Ultimate sophistication without it being stuffy and snotty in my opinion. I can't wait to come back I may actually have my birthday! You just have to come here it's like traveling back in time. When it there may have been prohibition but thank goodness it's 2010 where alcohol is legal! =)
by Pat B. on Fantastic burgers, fantastic service...mixed fries with ketchup & aioli sauce is a must... I wish they had a larger menu selection however what they do offer they do it well... if in phx this is a must eat at lunch spot or late night grub.
