by Numa T. on If you want a good discount at this place, go on a monday! $20 all u can drink and play! Drinks meaning basic hard liquor, beers and a couple of non-alcoholic drinks. Play meaning pool, ping pong and bowling. Bowling is the BEST deal there is since it costs up to that amount for the game. Remember to put your names down for all the games since there will be a line for them considering its a good deal for everyone and they all will wanna go bowling. Theres about 6 lanes i think. (Was a bit drunk to remember)... The music ranges from rnb to hip hop to spanish. There's an area to dance and lounge. The bar is pretty looking. I had the bad experience of seeing vomit on the bar table (most likely a dude taking advantage of the all you can drink special all night till 1am!)... Food is nibbles of all sorts from fries to pizza bites to chicken dippers. A bit costly for the food though. About $17 for 4 varieties but enough to share for 3 ppl I would say. Fri nights are cool too! Great location if you dont wanna trek to manhattan. Bring manhattan to queens in Play! It is so far the only place I feel good hanging out in that feels like I'm at a manhattan bar. Classy and good deal! Easy to get in. Just ID. Basic clothing rule but casual and cool! Enjoy!
by Kristen M. on As a young twenty something in NYC, you have to go to Tenjune once just to say you've been there. However, my one experience was more than enough. The first time my friends and I went the doorman, I believe his name was Alex, was quite a jerk. Even if you were speaking to him directly, he ignored you unless he had a personal relationship with you. While the club has a pretentious reputation, I kept hoping it would be worth it when we got inside. Not really. The club is cute and the drinks are strong but not worth the price or the doorman's attitude. And its definitely not as awesome as people are telling you.
by Trula Landolfo on Sound system: Almost as good as it gets, and along with the usually great lineup of DJ's, is Cielo's best selling point. Grade: A DJ's: Cielo does a good job of packing in the DJ's, though usually the best come around on the weekdays. For us suits, getting out and partying hard on a weekday usually isn't an option. Grade: A- Cover: Stop charging $20 covers on the weekend. You're not that cool. Grade: C+ Drinks: On par for the rest of MePa, overpriced and waterdowned drinks slung by overworked and couldn't give a shit bartenders. Grade: D+ Crowd: On the weekdays, it ranges from hipster to yuppie. On the weekends, it ranges from B&T trash to tourists from Nebraska who read about this place in a Lonely Planet guide. Grade: C-
