Coolest club in SF. The art, the atmosphere and ambiance, the decorum, the DJ and music selection! What's not to absolutely LOVE? If you want Gothic-Rococo decor with a modern SF/DeviantArt twist (tables with photograph underlay of girls shot by SF photog Merkeley??? and original pieces by Camilla Rose Garcia) and the best 80s+hottest beats mash-ups, then Harlot is your place. It's discretely tucked out of the way on Minna St, so it still has that "best kept secret" feel. You always get the feeling that there is an interesting crowd in here. Not pretentious, just interesting. It makes you want to know who else knows about and goes to Harlot as well. I love it. My girls and I ALWAYS love this place. Dance floor is a little packed, but that's a good sign, right? Exactly. Harlot rules. End of story.

I must first mention that I had plans to come here almost one month prior to the event and purchasing my tickets online was the best idea. I didn't have to worry about a guestlist or paying way too much for general admission. so I came here because my boyfriend Ryan and his brother & cousing already had plans to go here for J. Valentine's Birthday party. Which was hosted by Kyla Pratt, with special appreances by Latoya Luckett and Tank. OMG, Tank took his shirt off and that did it for me, that paid for everything, lol! Ooops I almost forgot they did also bring out Omarion as a surprise guest but all he did was dance. He wouldn't even sing. So we had a nice booth upstairs in the VIP section that gave us a great view of the stage. We had 2 bottles of champagne and we were really close to the bar as well. I would have to say my only complaint is that they double charged Ryan and made us stay there till about 3am untill the situation was resolved and they wouldn't let us leave without paying for both booths which they failed to realize their mistake. (Don't worry all, I made sure that Ryan got his money back) All in all, besides the big fight and the toilet paper all over the bathroom floor I would have to say, as long as I have my own VIP booth I would go back again.

I strongly urge against attending this stink-hole. Let me explain how Ruby Skye works, no one really wants to go there. Most people line up next door at Slide then find out you can't get in unless you have more girls in your group than guys or the bouncer finds a reason not to let them in or they just don't want to wait 30 minutes to get in. Thus, the rejects and run-off from Slide (which mind you is not exactly Studio 54) slide on down to Ruby Skye. Inside this little gem of a club you will find balding creepy men with chest hair bursting out of their unbuttoned club shirts, hideous women and lots of uncomfortable wall flowers. Drink prices are also outrageous and they only play trance music. Just weak.
