by Jenny N. on I should have believed that there are reasons why Rateclubers rated this place 0 star. This place sucks! One friend told me she went once and thinks this place is okay, so I decided to give it the benefit of doubt, but I should not have. We signed up for the guest list, and it says on the website it's free if we get in before 11pm, so we did. But we were asked to pay $5 to get in, and the cashier kept saying it's not what she was told that it was free. It's not that I care about the $5 cover, but just don't lie to your customers! Yes, they do have 2 rooms, but if you want to get into another room, you need to pay one more time! I cannot believe this place hasn't gone out of business yet. Don't believe what you see in the pictures on the website, the place doesn't look as nice, and the dance floor looks pretty beaten up, lots of cracks.
by Jennette Chmela on ATMOSPHERE: Mainly 1 big space without ability to change music scenes if you really wanted to. Live band when we went on ladies night. Good mix of music - mainstream, rock, dance. Seating areas (comfy couches) near entrance. Not very many people at all!! Boooo. That's why it sucked. Maybe if this place picks up it will be much better so it has potential with good promoting. PRICE: It was a Friday night and ladies night so ladies free all night and $10 for guys. Drinks are expensive! Double shot vodka/red bull was $20! $10 okay but never I've heard of $20 for that drink. Ridiculous. CONCLUSION: Will not be coming back unless this place picks up.
by jessica t. on Frat boys complaining about how much they hate Hong Kong, leopard mini skirt clad women arguing with their 'man,' and a row of sketchy guys bragging about the next place they're going to be cruising too, and 'apparently' taking you too - : are all part of the soundrack for Hong Kong's 'budget' fabulous crowd. Hong Kong is a dive. No doubt about it. Scorpion bowls everywhere, drinks spilled everywhere, and slimy guys 'hollering' at you in between puking all over the floor - and hitting on the 13 year old girl standing next to you. But it's all good. Kebab skewers, hungrily being passed around - and an upstairs dance area - that you resent paying for, all add to the twisted charm of Hong Kong. Most nights - I just basked in it. Paying my five dollars to head on upstairs to have five guys in a SNL skit scenario, dance accost me - to 'In Da Club.'
