Oh Bubble Lounge.  I wanted to like you so much. I was really looking forward to the Bubble Lounge.  It was alright.  Not what I would expect for a $100 tab for about 40 minutes worth of service.  Well, actually let me be more clear, my friends and I were there for about 2 hours, but only got two drinks each.  We had not one, but two servers, who seemed to forget about us.  I was ready to spend a lot of money, but they were busy helping the big group of sorority girls a couple booths down. The layout is a bit odd.  There are nice loungy couches, and the lighting is dark and sort of romantic, but the music blasting through the speakers is weird house club music.  Don't go there if you want to actually hear your friends talking!  We got thereearly, at about 8.  There weren't very many people there, but as we stayed (ehem, WAITED) in our booth, more people started rolling in.  I am not sure what the servers do when there are a lot of people there.  Apparently, you never get to drink unless you go up to the bar and get it yourself. The drinks were also alright.  I had a champagne cocktail, the Tropical Royale, which was tasty.  It was about $13?  I ordered another drink, which reminded me of Louden's cherry cough drops, nasty.  My friends had martinis, which were good, but my friend's second drink tasted nothing like the first (even though she ordered the same thing). This place is for the younger crowd.  By younger, I mean 21-25, I am not even 30 and felt way too old to be there.  I would recommend this place for young singles, who are more interested in looking for someone to take home than the quality of their drinks.  I am sure there are lot of people who like this kind of place, but it was a bit superficial for me.

Despite the wonderful food, Club Waziema is a no go for me. As soon as we stepped foot into the place, we were a little confused as to where to sit. There was no sign saying seat yourself, or a place to pick up menus. We ended up taking a seat at one of the tables and asking a group that was sitting next to us where we can order. It seemed they had similar troubles and said that they just went up to the bar to order. Well my friend and I took that in stride. We don't need to have everything spelled out for us. So we figure out that we want to get a couple of combination plates that we could share together. So we pick out the two vegetarian and two meat dishes for the two combos and my friend goes back up to the bar to order. He comes back, and a short while later the waitress brings the two glasses of wine we ordered. As we are sitting their, enjoying the atmosphere, the food comes out and it's these two huge platters. We are both amazed at the amount of food the two combination platters we ordered had. And there in lies the problem. Once we start digging in, the manager or owner, I'm not entirely certain which, comes over and tells us that we ordered four meals and that we have to pay for four. Previous to this, we had absolutely NO encounter with this lady, so we were confused as to what was going on and why she had decided to come over and tell us this in the middle of our meal. The only thing we could decide was that the waitress made a mistake and realized it after she brought our food out, otherwise why would the manager come out of nowhere. After discussing it with the waitress, who claimed my friend ordered wrong (despite the fact that she clearly saw there were only two people at our table when she looked over and we had only ordered two drinks), we just gave up. My friend was so upset from that point on that he just had me deal with the waitress and the manager. We ended up paying for the two extra meals that we were not even close to finishing. We might even have gotten a to go box if not for the fact that we were just grabbing a bite to eat before going out for the night, so we just ended up paying for food that didn't get eaten. What a shame. If you can deal with the poor service and paying for the mistakes of the servers and management, then maybe you can enjoy Club Waziema like my friend and I could not.

Finally, someone in the city who can makje a decent martini....I loved the atmosphere even thought it was relatively quiet and empty.  I went for a friend's birthday and we basically took over.  The service was excellent and we were treated like royalty.  Their steak tartare is to die for!!!
