The glass ceiling, beautiful architecture, classy asian artwork all create a visually stunning experience. Which is near ruined by the constant thump thump of house music more befitting an Abercrombie and Fitch than a classy upscale Meatpacking District meal. The food was good, but not great. I would have been just as happy with the food at an Applebees. (Glowing indictment that is) Very much a see-and-be-seen type NYC restaurant. The clientele was young and beautiful, and I promise every waiter and waitress has budding aspirations of a career in modeling/acting. Which makes them.....spacey and inattentive. I recommend grabbing a drink at Ajna, but passing on the food in favor of the bazillions of better NYC options....like the food carts around the corner.
by Danielle S. on I came here for my birthday and had a great time. I was able to reserve a table for about 18 without a problem. I gave the owner a couple of weeks notice and it was fine. I was also able to bring in my own birthday cakes which was great because they don't have a desert menu. Aside from that experience, they've got happy hour special every night of the week and usually good DJs as well. The prices are average if you come outside of happy hour and if you get there early enough on the weekend, you won't have to pay a cover. I always have a good time when I'm here, so I can't complain.
