Horrible experience. PROS: Great decor, very spacious. CONS: If I'm paying $15+ per drink I expect the bartender to NOT spill anything on the outside of the glass, and if she does, to clean it up before giving it to me. And for a supposedly stylish place, I shouldn't be forced to overhear a bartender telling someone she feels so sore she felt like she was 'gang banged'. I'm not a prude, but I'm not at Hogs & Heffers.  Doesn't exactly 'add' to the atmosphere they're trying to create with the fantastic decor when the bartender is more suited for Hooters than Anja. And for such overpriced food, I would also expect my table not to wobble like I'm sitting at an outdoor cafe on a cobble street. Now I'm trying to resolve the double-charge they executed on my credit-card. Charged my card TWICE. Unbelievable. Food and drinks were good, but not great. Overpriced for what you get. I'll never go back, needless to say.

Just came back from Brunos with the bf.  We've been wanting to check it out since we saw all the foodie blog buzz.  And the food definitely lives up to the hype.  The service...could use some work. We were seated immediately, around 7:30, 8pm in a nice dark divey restaurant space.  Very old-school Mission.  We felt right at home.  We ordered the chicken wings, mac and cheese and the brisket plate.  5 minutes later..."we're out of chicken wings."  Now, its 8pm on a Friday night.  Really?  You're out of wings?  Poor form.  To make matters worse, the couple sitting next to us got what must have been the last order of wings, which was pretty painful to watch.  Even more painful was the fact we waited at least 40 minutes for our meal.  At that point, we were in 2 star territory, and that was generous. But then...we ate the food.  And it ALMOST made the wait worth it.  The brisket was so moist and tender we actually questioned whether it was meat.  The collard greens are really well salted/seasoned and the mac-and-cheese is very good.  The biscuit is freakin' insane-- its like, crispy on the outside, I don't know how they do it.  Its really good.  So yea, our rage dissipated quickly and we finished with fried apple pie (a tasty upgrade from its McDonalds cousin). In a couple of months I'm sure this will have been worked out, but right now, the staff is a little scattered.  We had several servers throughout our meal, asking us to repeat our order etc.  Its a little unprofessional.  And its not like they're understaffed; there were at least 3-4 girls working alongside a busboy-- I've definitely seen larger work loads for servers.  I think they're just not used to the big dinner crowds and they need to work on their timing and figure out how best to use their staff.  But in spite of all that, we'll be back sometime soon (probably on an off-night) to sample some other surely delicious dishes.  Maybe we'll get some wings this time! :)
