Went here around 5pm on a weekday so as to avoid the crowds. I like the way the place is set up, the white and red theme.. The staff is all friendly and the bathroom is super duper clean.. It took us forever to pick a burger because we all wanted to try about 5 on the menu. I opted for the original, which was a-ok and nothing that special. It's a good deal for the amount, in my opinion. I also got the onion rings which I had been excited about for a while (after looking at the menu online and reading the reviews)... I wish someone had mentioned that they were sweet onions though.. They were definitely a little too sweet for me. And reviewers said they weren't greasy but everyone at my table found them pretty oily; there was a lot of hand wiping after touching each one. My friend got the chorizo and it was quite delicious. I loved the fried egg, but judging from my other reviews, it's pretty clear that fried eggs make my world go round. Everyone else was still hungry afterwards (they didn't get sides) but this was more than enough for me, since I couldn't even finish my burger. I'm fine with the portion size but it's a bit too expensive for me to come very often. I would like to try the other items though, eventually. 4 stars for being interesting and unique, (and making me want to come back for that chorizo) and minus 1 for the oily onion rings and not having my key lime pie shake on the menu! Definitely worth checking out for any burger/shake enthusiast.

I hate to give this one star because it deserves negative stars for the rude treatment I got tearing into a rival's cheesesteak after eating theirs on their seats. I swear I could have ordered in Korean while wearing a Free Mumia shirt and wouldn't have gotten the dirty looks, finger wagging, and head nodding I got from behind the glass. I mean, if two people are going to trying to find out who's best and it's cold/rainy out, where did they expect us to sit? That's just cruel. Xeno's, I mean Geno's, is perfect for tourists who like having Food Network/Travel Channel force-feed what they should try to eat in Philly. It's a unoriginal pile of Wiz and possibly onions on Amoroso bread, nothing more, nothing less. Frankly, I've gotten a better cheesesteak in DC to be honest. Do it once to say you ate there, then never go back!
