5 STARS FOR THE FIVE STAR TREATMENT THAT MY GIRLFRIENDS AND I RECEIVE EVERY SINGLE TIME WE COME HERE =) If you're going here for the 18+ Thursday Nights at Highlands, please read: 1) I can't stress this enough, find yourself a LEGIT promoter. *** My girl friend was tricked into coming to the grand opening by a promoter who basically lied and said he could get us in for free. Little did we know, he was just trying to get us there to make money. We drove all the way from Orange County to find out that we were lied to. And on top of that, we didn't have enough money on us because we were supposed to get in for FREE. Luckily, another promoter saw us looking flustered, and he got us in! He is now my go-to promoter for Highlands. He never fails on getting us past all the lines (YAY, no waiting!) and we never have to pay to get in. If you're reading this, sorry I can't give out his name, THANK YOU =D 2) Make sure you have $10 for the parking garage! 3) Be nice to the security and befriend them! *** My girlfriends and I were waiting for my promoter, so we decided to just joke around with two of the security guards out front. Hellooo, it is better to have them like you than hate you! Lots of perks ;) 4) The main dance floor is BIG. *** You will not be disappointed with the music. 5) There is a separate smaller room with lots of seating and different kinds of music. 6) There is a big outdoor area/patio for smoking or to just cool down from getting freaky on the dance floor ;) 7) SMILE for the cameras because there are a lot of photographers going around snapping pictures of all you naughty dancers! Overall, it is definitely worth the drive for my girlfriends and I to come out every Thursday. This is hands down my favorite 18+ club.

This is a review for the nightclub. One of my friends wanted to go here to celebrate NYE, so a bunch of us forked over $40 for the cover charge to check it out. I thought the place sucked though, because it was incredibly dirty. The dance floor was littered with plastic cups, napkins, and broken plastic champagne glasses. The floor was also flooded with spilled drinks, and by flooded, I mean it felt like I was walking through rain puddles. I was wearing a short dress, and as my friends were dancing next to me on the dance floor, I could feel them splash the crap all over my legs. All I could think about was how much I needed to go home to take a hot shower and burn the pretty white dress I was wearing. There also doesn't seem to be a dress code here. Most people were in jeans and sneakers, while my friends and I were dumb enough to get glammed up to come here. I would have fit right in with my sweatpants on. The sound system here wasn't anything special. I enjoy Trance/House music, but the music that night was mostly horrible. One star because the venue itself has a lot of potential, since it has a patio area with an oceanfront view. Two stars because one of the bouncers was nice enough to warn our group to seat our drunk/passed out friend in a chair rather than on the floor so he wouldn't get kicked out.
