Sorry Cielo you aren't for me. You charge me $25 to get in to be surrounded, by yes, great house music, but your friends that you invite just aren't my type. You have a small dance floor, which can sometimes be good. But your strange mix of crowd just isn't doing it for me. You have a group of skinny geeky asian dancers attempting to mingle with the 35+ ladies. I'm no longer young but I felt like a baby here. Your broken glasses on the floor cut my foot and over price drinks to help me manage the pain has left me in glum. Sorry the only way I will come here again is when there is no cover charge.

Went out to DBar on a Saturday night... we had to wait 5 minutes for a table but an hour for our food. We didn't get to talk much because the place was pretty loud. I have to say, it lost a star because we weren't big fans of the music. Sounded a little like light jazz french porn. When we finally got our food (lost another star for the looong wait), we were pretty pleased. The roasted mushroom and duck confit salad was pretty tasty, but I wasn't really aware of any mushrooms. The husband got Pork Osso Bucco with polenta and braised kale. The pork was good, but not exceptional, the polenta was great, but the kale was absolutely delicious. I had the Beef tenderloin special with these fried mashed potato and goat cheese croquettes. The beef wasn't bad at all, but the croquettes were amazing! Please, if you get the chance, try them! Atmosphere was fine, service was pretty good, and the food was enjoyable. But I don't think I'd find myself making special trips from Revere to Dorchester just for dinner at the DBar.

ok...i know there's a lot of mixed reviews, but i've had good experiences here. granted, i don't come here just because i want authentic mexican food. if i wanted that i would go by my hometown, highland park, or stay in covina (they have great taco shops there). i go because: they have a great happy hour. free food. they have outdoor seating. we've had 2 staff happy hours here, and it's always been fun. they have a cool bar area, where i usually meet up with a few of my co-workers. and you're right near the happy hour bar food area. margaritas are pretty good. not watered down. if you want authentic mexican food, there's plenty of taco trucks on the corner that deliver good food. but if you and your friends wanna get together to have a good time, drinks, and free appetizer food...try this place for happy hour!
