by Francesca T. on I like this place simply cause its convenient to the other bars on cahuenga, there isn't a cover charge, and the music is a good mix of top 40s which makes it pretty danceable to my buzzed self. I went on a friday night and the bouncers were make a big deal about asking you if your on guest list... which i don't get cause there wasn't a line and they were obviously going to let me in anyways... maybe it matters when the club hits capacity? anyways, its a sweet/small spot, and definitely more of a bar with a huge dancefloor. too small to be a club and no free seating so i wouldn't even call it a lounge. what got me peeved me? (i'm not new hollywood pricing. if i'm going to go out one night, i'm gonna spend and i'm ok with that.) i was cool with $12 shots... (i got 2 shots of patron = $24) i was cool with my buzzed self accidently over-tipping and writing $4 on the tip line. (umm all he did was pour into the shot glass, i usually only tip a dollar unless it's a mixed drink) i was not cool a week later when i saw that the bartender added an EXTRA $2 to my tab. (total should have been 28 and i was charged 30) now i know it's only $2 bucks and it's not worth my time to go argue with management. really, thats not the point. the point is, just be careful. the bartenders are pretty shady. i wasn't too buzzed that i forgot how much i tipped, but i wonder if they try to pull this on people all the time. who knows how many DRUNK people they've tacked extra charges on. anyways, it could simply just be one bartender and it's not going to keep me away from this club cause i like the music and space. next time, i'm just sticking to cash.
by Tommye Swan on Like many people say, GET THERE EARLY AND BUY TICKETS ONLINE!! if you get there late you miss out on the planetarium show thingy which is pretty cool. Drinks are reasonable, the atmosphere is pretty chill and the exhibits are really cool! I missed out on the rain forest which was a bummer.. I had a great time here last week and look forward to wanting to go back in the future... I Highly recommend it.
