Accompanied a bunch of fairly discerning Asian palates to Pod last night. The lounge area has a cool vinyl seatscape, and the overall futuristic Daft Punk feel was echoed in the plastic covered menus. We had enough people (7) to be surprised with a "pod" table. After spending too much time playing with the lights (and nearly inducing multiple seizures), we settled on one of the least aggressive colors. We had a wonderful Caesar salad with a sesame seed dressing, a fairly uninspired and underdeveloped portion of lobster and miso, and really really good crab fried rice. My Samurai Jack drink let me down a bit. Tasty, but too many raspberry seeds to excavate from my mouth by the end of the night. While I wasn't blown away by the food, the overall dining experience including the atmosphere and staff was very good Brad's rating (out of 5): Price: 3 Food: 3 Drinks: 3 Decor: 5 Service: 5 Wild card: I think I've said this before, but Steven Starr knows his Caesar salads for SERIOUS

One of my favorite venue in SF. Hope they start the show a bit early....for people to catch last Bart.
