The gorgeous ladies who work there spreading smiles and cheer all over the venue (Jasmine is my favorite!). . . the delicious food that is ridiculously inexpensive and well prepared. . . the bartenders who understand that you want to get nice and drunk so they make your creative cocktails super fast and ridiculously yummy that I throw my preference for Hangar One out the window for just one night and drink whatever is on hand! Parties less than 4 automatically get bar seating. It is kinda tight, but that is alright - don't fear. . . because you get front row perfect seats for the performances on the bar while you have your dinner and drinks. When I showed up, I did not know they have set priced menus for a mere $39 PP! The food was so delicious, I would have expected to pay more so thank you for making the price affordable. I enjoyed: Purple Hooter (I had two of those. . . so would it be purple boobs?) Glass of Pinot Grigio Chicken Skewers Filet mignon with eggplant and potato stars Hot Chocolate cake w/ice cream Don't wait for a bachelorette party to visit here. Go for a dinner date and have a blast! The food is amazing, the cocktails are delicious, the wine list is award winning, the performances by the gorgeous and talented ladies are exciting, the staff are friendly AND (this is something every city dweller will appreciate) THERE IS ALWAYS PARKING RIGHT OUT FRONT! The vibe. . . the energy. . . the room full of smiling faces and "woo-hoo" festive attitude (the nice owner will introduce himself to you and make sure you are having a blast), and the wonderfully delicious food makes Asia SF the beloved venue it has been for years. I will be back. . .and when I do - I am taking all of my rateclubs friends! Note to owner: The stools at the bar have nowhere for ladies to tuck their heels so legs start to fall asleep! Please have a foot booster or something for short shits like me to rest my feet. Thank you! by louis n. on Great spot to hang out with the locals. I frequent The Local on Wednesdays before hitting up MJQ around the corner. They serve great chilled beer and decent cocktails. The star of the place has to be the cheap beer and the typical bar food. Grab a seat outside in their patio to escape the smoke filled bar and the loud music.
by Detra Patzner on you make us wait in like for 20 minutes and there was NO ONE on the dance floor??? they just want to make sure they get AT LEAST the 5 bucks out of you... the place itself is really nice. i like the set up!! the crowd, however... lets just say it's not the nicest mix. the comment about it being a meat market is SO TRUE. my friends got "the look" from every guy and it they were not flattered!! the music mix (it was a friday night) was cool. lots of old-skool stuff, a couple 80's songs, and a bunch of new stuff. the drinks were nice and strong, i recommend the cadillac margarita! all in all its an okay place if you dont want to make the trek to Hollywood, and can put up with "the up-and-down look"
