by shannone e. on wow, I've wanted to go to the supperclub in Amsterdam for years but now I think I could pass. the food was definitely not interesting and very seafood oriented. the drinks were pretty good. the entertainment that evening was deplorable and amaturish, tho the headlining act of aerial dance was kinda ok. SF has got to have better singers, performers, dancers around than what was there that evening! I hope this place does better as a nightclub because as a dinner theater place, it kinda sucked tho I still like the overall concept of the establishment.
by Nicholas K. on Horrible bar. I don't have some huge nightmare story to relate to you rateclubsers, but the overall experience is just bad. Drinks in Boston are expensive in general, here it is especially. It's sort of baffling how they charge $9-$10 for a mixed drink with a single shot in it (rum and coke, or just coke? This place will make you doubt they even have rum in those bottles back there). The place itself is pretty dirty. Not an enjoyable experience, just head somewhere else. There are plenty of places around.
by Carmen Lariosa on bOb suited us nicely for a Saturday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. Get in just before ten, to sink at least one drink at the happy hour prices and snag a lounge along the wall... so later you can choose to either join the dancing, or just sit back and "people watch" in comfort. The DJ was great, and even with the music pumping loud to fuel the ever-more-crowded dancefloor, you can still maintain a conversation too. Even after happy hour, the drinks are well-priced by NYC standards, and the bOb bar staff are generous with their quantities. Sure it's small, but unless you have a football-team sized entourage, you should be good.
