Hmm, Webster Hall is interesting and hard to explain, especially if you haven't been before. As a music venue to see a specific artist, it is perfectly fine. There are a couple bars to get drinks, an open floor plan and an upstairs lounge area that's a bit more intimate and comfy. As a 'going out' venue, it is strange, strange, strange. There are obviously a lot of tourists, BnT-ers, teens and night-at-the-roxbury types. The place is a maze of steps, bathrooms, bars and venues. The basement tends to be smaller, young live acts and the upstairs larger room has DJ's, dancing and (Svedka) bottle service. Who knew Webster Hall had bottle service!? When I was there, they had a performance artist doing burlesque - yes, she went topless, yes, it was odd. After that they had a mini-fashion show. Then it was time to party to the DJ! However, the group of DJ's in the booth were watching porn on a laptop while spinning tracks. Like I said, strange, strange, strange.... If you're over, say 22 and live in NY, don't bother with the rest of Webster Hall. Anyone of any age, go to the main venue and enjoy!

Things I love about Martuni's: The Cherry Blossom martini had to be the most delicious, delectable martini I've ever had. It was extraordinary. OK, maybe I'm using a bit of hyperbole, but it was darn good! Let's see, I had four martini's that night: 1. Pineapple martini- tasty and initially I thought this was as good as it would get. After drink #1, I sang "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" at the piano bar. 2. Cherry Blossom martini- I was so delighted with this drink. Apparently, it has champagne in it, which is what I think makes it so great (according to Joshua L.). After drink #2, I became increasingly friendly... 3. (Georgia) Peach martini- I had to get this one since I am such a cute, Georgia peach, but unfortunately, it was no match for the Cherry Blossom. After drink #3, I was back at the piano singing "You're the one that I want" from the Grease soundtrack- I was "Sandra", the piano player was "Danny." 4. I ended with another Cherry Blossom- just as good as the first, but I think I probably should have stopped at drink #2! Went to some strange diner afterwards which I'll review later. Either way, it was a good time and their prices were decent. The atmosphere was nice, it was kind of dark and a bit crowded, but I'd definitely go back. Martuni's = an A+ in my book!
