yum! I loved it! looking for good, cheap indo foods? this is the place. one thing I'd like to comment, I might not be used to the fact the neighborhood is kind of sketchy, like I definitely won't go there when it's dark. but foods in general is very authentic. I had "daun singkong" typical indonesian veggie dish, n I had fish curry, with rice, n "bakwan goreng" deep fried stuff, "Es teler" (dessert drink), n "krupuk" (shrimp crackers), all that came total of $10!!! that's very cheap. I got out too full after I had my meal. so if you r up for aunthentic indo foods, this place is definitely worth to check it out! :)

I didn't even know that this place had an upstairs, but thank god I figured that out. The scorpion bowls are delicious, and you get little treats inside the bowl (plastic animals, mermaids, etc). It's like opening up a Crack Jack box and finding a decoder ring inside. I didn't try the food, but it smelled good (though I think I would've eaten anything after inhaling two scorpion bowls). Also, I loved the crowd here. Random people would walk up to us at the bar and get involved in our conversation. It sounds like it would be obnoxious, but it wasn't. It was just a bunch of good people being curious about one another. The music was great, people were dancing and having a great time without being disrespectful and sloppy. I really enjoyed my night, and I will go back soon.

My review of the place is highly based on the experience and for it being a new club, and on a Saturday night, the place was a bit flat. Not to say it's like this all the time, but give it a chance, tell you friends, and hopefully in 3 months, maybe less, this place will be happening. Why? Harlot, the popular and trendy alley club that is stumbling distance away always has a huge line and you can't beat the parking also which is foot steps away. :) So first let me rate the bartender. He didn't know half the drinks we ordered like Caiprinha or an Adios Mother !@#$. A bit disappointing so I stuck to a basic margarita on the rocks. Now the place, it's definitely interesting with the doors that leads you in circles and mysterious openings to a closet so you can do your business. That night, two rooms were opened for access, each with their own bar and DJ. That's cool if they decide to play all kinds of music flavas in the future. One of the rooms is deck with mini TVs which kinda reminds me of the Matrix Fillmore. The overall basement feel of the club reminds me a bit like Bubble Lounge. The place has promise and potential to be one of the greats in SF. Give it some time to get the word out which is why I'm giving the place 4 stars instead of 3 given the features of the club.
