by john-michael c. on Happy Birthday Girl! Nice decor and dinner ambiance is lively. The first floor bar is just so busy with people eating that I had to find an alternative. The 2nd floor bar is easy to find and makes very stiff drinks for everyone. After two AMF's and two bday shots I finally had heard about the wait for the food but it is what it is. Fortunately I didn't eat... but drank and drank and drank till close. The view from the top is great and the funky couches are comfy as hell!! Keep in mind that parking is hard to find unless you have the luck of the devil. And at the roof top patio/bar/etc was great though it would have been nice to have a touch more music. And the entire 'cash only' on the roof deal is a pain in the ass to carry that much for the amount we intended to drink. But I'd do anything for my cousins! With that being said, i hauled up that stash to do what we do and get her FUBAR! Cant pick family.. kekekekeke ;D
by Alayna Machuca on Coming from a girl who loves to dance, I can't wait to go back. The selection of hip-hop, old-school, funk, etc is perfect for REAL dancing. The place was packed with some regulars and some newbies. It is small but GOOD. I'm so tired of those huge "dance clubs" where the only move the girls have mastered is the "bend and snap." And aside from the pixie sized girl who kept bumping into me as her form of dancing, everyone here actually could dance and if not, they tried! The cover charge, though my fabulous friends (girls) and I didn't end up paying it, is $5. In my opinion -- totally worth it.
by Dave W. on Door44 has a great Wed. night party and great special events. The last special event I went to was the Rock of Love party where they had Daisy. I am a huge Rock of Love Daisy fan, so I had to go to this party. The party was great and I ever got the chance to chat with Daisy :). Several weeks ago I went to their Wed. night party with some people from work and had a great time. Right now, it is my favority boutique bar in midtown with a cool crowd, awesome bar tenders, and really unique interior. Keep a watch out for their upcoming special events. And, if you are there keep an eye out for a really cool and hot red head bartender. To be honest, she is why I always come back!
