I think Roe has a bad rap on rateclub! I've been twice and had different experiences each night. 1st time - Friday night: Was on the guest list and they let us in right away, no cover (awesome!). The downstairs was closed since it wasn't packed enough, and it was pretty empty to begin with. I liked it cause it meant we could get drinks/ get a booth etc. The place did fill up and was a bit uncomfortably crowded (but what do you expect from a big club! you get what you ask for. no need to complain about it people). Definitely wanted to go back, good night dancing/ two dance floors/ decent ambiance (even had free shots due to some promotion going on). 2nd time - Saturday night: Put ourselves on the guest list again and despite getting there around 10pm for an 11pm deadline, NONE of my group got in for the guestlist. Seems like on Saturdays they do the "douche club" move, holding up the guest list. They really let me down! I was pissed I had to pay the 20$ to get in. Still though, with  three dance floors, fun music; Roe delivers a good night clubbing. Once I get over my anger about the guestlist I'll make my way back, though probably not with too many friends cause I don't want to be the girl who brought us to the 20$ cover/stand in line an hour guestlist place. I find it a bit classier than Temple, (Temple's basement :/) and still give you that "real club feeling" that those small bar/dance places can't get you.

We went here several times a week while attending the nearby film school.  While we eventuallly learned it was an unofficial gay bar 2 years ago, we didnt give 2 shits.  There were pretty weird people as well.  However, the cheap prices, great location, and the EXTREMELY COOL BARTENDERS,  kept us coming back.  they make their drinks pretty well, and are good in every single conversation, best of all, they arent fake. Props to Ryan! Is it true this place is becoming a hot spot?  I've been once in the last 6 months.

I like Thai, my wife likes sushi...what better place to go than a place with a red neon sign that says "Thai and Sushi."  We started with a few apps and I inhaled some really good Chicken/Coconut soup and helped my wife take out some Edamame.  I ordered the Pad Prik with chicken and beef and it was very solid, not spectacular.  I think the dishes at Top Spice just have more flavor, but this wasn't bad.  My wife seemed to enjoy her sushi and I had a small sample and thought it tasted good (for sushi).  Nice atmosphere with good service make for a nice evening in the EAV...you should check it out. P.S. There is an ice cream shop a few doors down that serves Blue Bell.
