Went here to meet friends after happy hour and it was cool. I had fun there. Cool place to hang out, chill and even has a basement where you can dance to, smooze at and kick it. Barclay, the bartender was pretty down to earth and personable. Awesome sound system for a bar like this. It's quite the diamond in the rough especially when you're in the Tenderloin.

This review is for the Us Weekly World Premiere Event that was held here last September! I was invited to a party here last summer that Us Weekly Magazine was hosting. I'm probably rating this place higher that most reviews because I got into this event for free! 3 of my other friends came along as well! We had a lot of fun dancing, eating, and drinking! They were promoting the new SKYY Vodka drinks. Hors d'oeuvres were passed around... the kobe sliders were the best! There are 2 dance floors. The dance floor downstairs was playing really weird techno music and it was very hot, stuffy, and super crowded inside. Upstairs was almost just as crowded but with a bigger bar area and more lounge seating. The outside patios were nice to sit around, but too many people were smoking!!! *cough* But overall we had a really good time!! :) Parking can be difficult, but luckily we found street parking!! Totally come here if there's a crazy party!! It's worth it if someone else is paying for the tab! haha :P

"How lame: airport barbecue?" That's what I said, but what could I do? I was commissioned by a friend to go, but had no time during my trip. I had to settle for the airport version, a "representative taste of Austin," and wasn't disappointed. The bread was a fluffy bun. At least it was soft, but it was a little too much bread for my taste. The meat, like all beef in Texas, was dang good. Not too chewy, very tasty, just the right amount of melt-in-your-mouth goodness. And the sauce, warmed up, dippable so it slathers the sandwich, put this one over the top. Wash it down with a cool soda and I was a really happy camper before getting on my plane to Cali. If not for all the barbecue sauce I had already purchased from Rudy's, I would have bought a couple bottles right there before boarding the plane.
