by Melissa W. on I definitely have to be in the mood to go to the Edison. It definitely takes some effort and commitment to come on a weekend. Dress code that is sometimes treated really strictly and other times not. Lines and parking. I came here for a bachelorette party so my review will be a little skewed. The place itself is beautiful. From the lighting to the furniture to the girl dressed up as the green fairy pushing absinthe around, this place screams speakeasy. There's a lot of historical stuff still there, left over parts from when it use to be a powerplant. Pretty cool for the nerd in me. The Bridesmaids reserved a table which was really nice because we always had a place to sit and run away to. It was in the back away from all the people so it was like our own getaway. The drinks were really tasty and pretty fancy and old timey feeling. Definitely adds to the feel of the place. The drinks are pretty strong, but then again i am a little asian girl, a drop of any alcohol gives me a buzz....The foods decent... didn't really have much since the point of the night was to get the bride to be hungover the next day. This place is VERY LA and the crowd is really mixed... people watching galore. esp when your group is the center of people watching
by Hilario Justesen on Hmmmmmmmm..............where do I begin? This place sucks! The place is way too fcukin crowded, the music sucks(remix of rock and rap), the blue room(Techno room) was a joke, all my drinks and other peoples drinks were being spilled on me, and it is just ghetto! Thanks but no thanks, I think I'm better off at Venom or War Room.
by Megan K. on What's a good way to get someone to never come to your restaurant? Put an ad for your restaurant in the door of their car. Cafe Cocomo, you lost my business. I hope you'll find a new method of advertising and/or generate more customers without having to resort to plastering cars with postcards.
