by Jeanine L. on This little lounge was actually a miniature closet nightclub. The music was really great, and most importantly the ventilation was superb. My friends and I were originally just hoping for a nice lounge with decent music, but we were surprised with how great this lounge turned out to be. It's very long and narrow, but with good decor. And we were pleasantly surprised with how many people were actually dancing, in the middle of the hallway. It was a bit claustrophobic, but with excellent music, polite crowd, and great ventilation I could've been here all night to dawn.
by Thanh Grix on I absolutely do not understand the high reviews for this place. So i am only rating my experience on a normal friday night. My friend said that this place is fun and nice during happy hour weekdays. What is up with all the "ghetto" ugly people up in this place. Why is there no dress code. It is as though there is a uniform for giants and sports jackets and jerseys, fake chains, white T-s, sneakers, and hats that you MUST wear if you come here. And the girls were the trashy asian type too that think wearing bright colored shirts with matching dunks looks good. WELL I AM HERE TO INFORM YOU TO STOP SHOPPING AT SERRAMONTE. SURELY IT MUST BE OK TO SPEND MORE THAN 10 BUCKS ON AN ENTIRE OUTFIT AT FOREVER21. Not to mention all the uncomfortable obvious stares with creepy smiles that my friend and I were getting. and to make everything even more outrageous there was a $10 cover!! We ended up leaving after 5 min upon arriving. I must admit the decor is nice. I dig the art. So one star for that. But that is about it. Music is hip hop which is standard in most places and probably necessary with the type of patrons at Minna. Never coming back!! I much prefer ambassador in the middle of the tenderloin area as they have a mixed crowd dressed and acting much more decently. Not a bunch of ghetto ass creepy asian guys and slutty neon/pastel asian girls. And NO your fake gold chains do not impress me. If you are from vallejo or san jose or daly shitty i am sure u will love it here. And don't even make me comment on the smell.
by Sophia M. on So I may live in San Diego, but every now and then, we all need to get away... in comes King King, or in my eyes Mecca!!! Who loves house? I love house! King King loves house! Saturdays, or Balance is still my favorite place to get down. I have yet to find such a unique ambiance where everyone puts on their dancing shoes and leaves their attitudes at the door and everyone in this wall pounding, floor vibrating, speaker hugging, red room has somethings in common... - to dance - to feel the vibe - to feel some soul - and did I say... to dance! Bring your smiles and your happy feet and I'll see you on the dancefloor! Till next time King King!
